Services
Myofascial Release (MFR)-60 minutes, $95.
90 minutes, $150.
A safe and very effective hands-on technique
that involves applying gentle, sustained
pressure into the myofascial connective tissue
restrictions to eliminate pain and restore
motion. We use the style most closely
associated with John Barnes (JBMFR), a physical
therapist whose technique can be performed
on most people regardless of age because it is
so gentle. http://www.myofascialrelease.com
These are some of the problems that JBMFR
helps,
https://myofascialrelease.com/about/problems
-mfr-helps.aspx. JBMFR treatment is
performed directly on the skin without oil or
lotion. This is a bodywork technique that helps
chronic pain, treating restrictions in the
connective tissue that “gums” up the
movement of joints and is very different from
traditional massage techniques. Think of the
thin, but tough, covering on a chicken breast
that is hard to peel off—that is fascia! It wraps
and compartmentalizes all structures including
muscle, bone and organs. The National
Institute of Health says "The fascial system is
an anatomical continuum that connects every
part of the body.“

Deep Tissue -60 minutes, $95. 90 minutes,
$150.
Our deep tissue massage uses a combination
of techniques that can include Swedish, trigger
point, dynamic cupping, heat, accupressure,
cranio-sacral therapy and myofascial release.
Using both connective tissue techniques and
massage therapy techniques allows for
maximum and longer-lasting pain relief and a
deep sense of well-being.
Therapeutic Swedish -60 minutes, $75. 90
minutes, $120.
Swedish massage is the most common form of
massage for most Americans and it promotes
relaxation and eases muscle tension, which
creates health benefits. During Swedish
massage, therapists use lotions/oils to work
soft tissues, specifically muscles. Heat,
delivered through either, or in combination
with hot towels, hot stones or bamboo fusion
sticks, and added to massage, is known to
increase blood flow, reduce muscle spasm,
soothe anxiety and stress, decrease arthritis
pain, assist fibromyalgia, insomnia and stress
sufferers. This is especially helpful for the
mature body.
